Facts and Figures (Part 1)

As promised, here's my first slice of interesting facts and figures about Surigao. Let me begin it with a question,

"DID YOU KNOW?

1. ) that the total population of Surigao del Norte province increased by 35,003 persons?

The total population of Surigao del Norte, was 409,468 persons as of August 1, 2007, representing an increase of 35,003 persons from the total population of 374,465 persons recorded as of May 1, 2000. These figures translated to an annual population growth rate (PGR) of 1.24 percent for the period 2000 to 2007, or lower than the PGR of 1.98 percent recorded for the period 1995 to 2000.
