DID YOU KNOW that Surigao City was largest in terms of population size?
The largest area in terms of population size among the lone city and 20 municipalities in Surigao del Norte was Surigao City, the provincial capital. It comprised 32.3 percent of the entire population in the province. The city's population was nearly six times larger than the population of municipalities that followed it: Mainit (5.8 percent), Placer (5.6 percent), and Dapa (5.4 percent). The rest of the municipalities had a population share of less than 5.0 percent. (Source: National Statistics Office)
Well, this is not surprising since Surigao City dominates, as the only city in the province of Surigao del Norte.
